Yvette Stahr Obituary

Yvette Marie Stahr, 67, of Napa, CA, passed away peacefully on October 22, 2024. Born in Napa on November 8, 1956, Yvette attended Napa High School and graduated in 1974. She married the love of her life, Steve Orman, on August 26, 1978. Though Yvette often introduced Steve as her "first husband", they shared a true love and maybe more importantly, a true friendship, for 46 years.

Yvette was known for her quick wit and snarky humor. Her charm and sense of humor made her a magnetic presence in any room.

A passionate traveler, Yvette and Steve explored the world together, often with a glass of wine or a restaurant guide in hand. Whether recommending the best restaurants or recounting tales of their travels, she delighted in sharing these experiences. While Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, held a special place in her heart, Yvette's true love was France, especially Paris. She and Steve recently took a beautiful final trip to Paris in August, flying in style in business class, a fitting send-off for her love of travel and life.

A fighter through and through, Yvette battled cancer once before and came out even stronger, her resilience and spirit admired by all who knew her. She was also a fierce advocate for animals, especially pit bulls, supporting them through the BADRAP nonprofit. She shared her life with many beloved pets, including her cherished chihuahua, Izzy and her ponies, Cedar and Pippa. Yvette was an avid dressage enthusiast, competing in horse shows with her longtime companion Cedar. In 2016, Yvette and Cedar won the National Adult Amateur award for Best Conamara Pony.

Yvette was preceded in death by her parents, Patricia and Dean Stahr. She is survived by her devoted husband, Steve Orman; her siblings, Michele Stahr and Kurt Stahr (Dominique Stahr); her nieces, Lea Wilson (Nathan Wilson) and Kari Estes (Cole Estes); and her great-nephews and great-niece, Brayden, Teegan, Dylan, and Livia.

Her life, though cut short, was filled with love, laughter, and adventure. Yvette's warmth, humor, and joy for life will be remembered and cherished by all who knew her. RIP Yvette

A Browns Valley brat like the rest of us, Yvette had a good and friendly heart. The rest of her was made of smirks and eye rolls. To all that loved her, thank you for making her life so beautiful. She deserved every bit of it.
