Bryan Guzman Obituary
He is survived by his mother, Alice Guzman of Naperville, IL; father, Richard (Linda) Guzman of Naperville, IL; brothers, Rick (Desiree) Guzman of Aurora, IL, Aaron (Kari) Guzman of Riverside, CA, Daniel Guzman of Chicago, IL, step-brothers, Josh Bonifas of Chicago, IL, Mike Bonifas of Chicago, IL; maternal grandmother; Elsie (the late G. Edward) Smiley of Wilmore, KY; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Bryan was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather; and his paternal grandparents, Jose and Cristeta Guzman.
Bryan was a 2004 graduate of Naperville North High School and was currently a junior at North Central College, majoring in sociology and minoring in music. He played the bass for a college jazz ensemble.
Former member of the band, Hypnotist Collector with his brother, Daniel, Bryan will be remembered for his love of music and for being an extraordinarily talented bass guitar player and everyone's favorite laid-back friend.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Tolbert Refugee Assistance Fund (TRAF) 236 Plum Street, Aurora IL 60506 or www.trafonline.com. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 14, from 3:00-9:00 PM at Friedrich-Jones Funeral home, 44 S. Mill Street, Naperville, IL. A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 15, at 1:00 PM at Community Christian Church, 1635 Emerson Drive (Corner of Ricket and Ogden Ave.) Naperville, IL. Inurnment will be private. Our son, Patrick, was in band with Bryan at NNHS, and our son, Daniel, was in band with your son, Dan. I don't know if you are aware, but our Daniel passed away suddenly on November 27. We understand and empathize with the unbearable heartbreak you are feeling right now, because we are feeling it too.
