Carol A. Haerr

Carol Ann Haerr, nee Stocks, age 90 of Naperville, IL, peacefully passed away Saturday, June 17, 2023 at Tabor Hills Nursing Home of Naperville. She was born April 1, 1933 in Springfield, IL to her loving late parents, Lloyd J. and Estella Stocks. Cherished wife of the late Louis G. Haerr wedded for 41 years. Beloved sister of the late Jay Lloyd (Miriam C.) Stocks of Bella Vista, Arkansas. Adored aunt of Randall J. (Anne) Stocks of Little Rock, Arkansas, Timothy R. Stocks of Franklin, KY and Alan J. (Jill) Stocks of Franklin Park, IL, many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. Carol was a 1951 graduate of Springfield High School. She received her bachelor's degree in music and special education from Western Michigan College in 1955. She taught music for many years in Michigan and Minnesota. Carol was an avid golfer and long-time member of the Naperville Country Club. She was also a long-time member of Knox Presbyterian Church of Naperville. Her hobbies included both needlepoint and quilting. She was the founder, president, and long-time member of the Illini Needlepoint Guild, which originated in the 1980's. She was also a member of the Fox Valley Embroidery Guild and Riverwalk Quilters Guild. In lieu of flowers, memorials to American Diabetes Association or the American Heart Association. Visitation: Friday, June 30th 4:00-7:00 PM at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home, 44 S. Mill St., Naperville, IL 60540. Additional Visitation: Saturday, July 1st 9:30-10:30 AM at the funeral home.
