Gail & family,
Blessings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. My name is Carolyn and I worked with Dave in the Tresury group. I learned of Dave's passing today and offer my condolences to you and your children. Gail I pray that the peace of God guards your heart through Christ Jesus. The bible says that earth has no sorrow that heaven cannot heal. I pray that "the joy of the Lord is your strength" whenever you have moments and days of weariness. We serve a God who is able to keep you and your children in perfect peace. Please give my love to Sarah, Rachel and your sons. Take care of yourself Gail and may the Lord our God bless you in the "GRACE" of His love.

I worked with Dave for several years when he was managing Treasury for the Export operations. I was in charge of the Latin America sales region in Miami at the time and we traveled together quite extensively. Dave was very smart and experienced and I learned a lot from him. He had a broad range of interests so I could always look forward to many interesting conversations and great laughs as well. I was truly saddened when I heard of his death.

I had the pleasure of meeting Dave when he was the Scoutmaster for my son Tom's BSA Troop #133 in Naperville. It is an understatement to say that he was a natural leader. Over the year's he led the troop he taught these boys many life lessons through both words and actions in the weekly troop meetings as well as weekend campouts nad week long summer camp. He will bemissed, but his impact will always live on in the character and values of the young men he helped to mold during their fomative years. Bob Shuman (Naperville, IL)

David was a great colleague, classmate and friend; we attended Hackley School in Tarrytown NY. In 2009 we cerebrated a great milestone, our 40th reunion. Our classmates will miss his smile and friendship. I have forwarded his obituary to my classmates.

Dave and I worked together for about 8 years at Navistar. He was a great colleague, and it was always a pleasure to talk with him about current events, philosphical issues, and travel. It was clear that Dave was a thoughtful man of broad interests. I am very sorry to hear about his passing, and Dave's family is in my thoughts and prayers.

Dave was a great man. He was a mentor for me as a fellow lacrosse coach and I learned a great deal from him, especially in regards to what is important in life and how to treat people. I will miss Dave, but am very grateful for the time that I had to be around him and for his friendship.

Dave and I worked together for a number of years at Navistar. I was his lawyer. I met Dave when he was a bright young executive just recently returned from France. He had worked in the company's farm equipment business and when it was sold, Dave came home to headquarters where he became the manager of corporate real estate. Dave's biggest project probably was the work he did to donate the company's former Rock Island farm tractor plant to the city of Rock Island so that local businesses could occupy the site and create new jobs for the community. That deal provided me with my favorite memory of working with Dave. On one of the car trips Dave and I took to the Quad Cities we stopped at a Bakers Square restaurant to have lunch. And of course we both had pie for dessert. The next day when we were back in the office, I happened to mention the fact of our dessert in front of some of Dave's colleagues in Navistar's Treasury Department. It turned out that Dave and his colleagues were in a dieting group sponsored by the company, with prizes available to the "biggest losers". As I recounted how Dave and I had enjoyed our pie, a howl went up from Dave's dieting teammates and he took a lot of grief from them! He never let me forget that, often good naturedly accusing me of having violated an attorney client confidence! Dave and I had many good times together at work and I will miss him. My prayers are with his family.
