James Polivka Obituary

"What a Wonderful World…"

James D. Polivka, age 93, lived fully and died peacefully on September 16, 2022. His final hours were filled with the songs of his heart, and the family members who surrounded him. James was born June 1, 1929 in Brookfield, IL., raised by Dorothy and George Polivka in their home on the Willow Farm Dairy. James graduated with honors from Lyons Township High School in 1945. In 1952, James married his high school sweetheart, Nancy Moulton, who would become his devoted wife of 70 years. After service in the Army, James, a true entrepreneur, created his own success as a dairyman, restaurateur, banker, and real estate developer. Motivated by a love for family, God, and country, he strengthened his community through diligent work and detailed dedication to each of his chosen endeavors. James and Nancy lived a beautiful life together, serving one another with love, respect, and dignity. For the legacy that James created, and the one he carried forward, we remain forever honored to have been a part of his wonderful world.
