I am Kathy Tetzlaff, the sister of John's close friends Joe and Peg Persaud. As another of his friends, I know John to be the kind of man every man wants to be. He embodied all things good and pure. I will miss his light, thoughtfulness, and love dearly. -- Peace and Light,

We are so very sorry for the loss of your father. You may not remember us, but we lived behind you in Wheeling on Mayer Avenue (next door to the Schmid family, who lived directly behind you.) Our thoughts are with you during this sad time. I knew your mom and dad from when we were at Mark Twain School. I helped your mom with the Spaghetti dinner night. Your parents were wonderful people. No words can express how sorry we are, but know that we share in your sadness.

Dear Christine, Katie, and Megan,
We want to share our heartfelt condolences during this difficult time and wanted you to know how fond we were of your father a truly great man whose strength, warmth and compassion were examples to us all.
Our memories of both your mom and dad include the times we shared in Wheeling living on Meyerson Way participating in neighborhood activates, school functions and casual get togethers, while watching you kids play and grow up. We loved having your family over for social occasions and will always cherish the day we were able to attend a Brewers game, as your dad seemed to really enjoy his family and friends.
Your father's love for you girls was evident in everyway.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you continuously.
Love,
The Andrews
