Joseph F. Miller

Joseph F. Miller, age 85, a resident of Lisle, formerly of Naperville, Lombard and Downers Grove, IL, passed away December 3, 2021 at Edward Hospital in Naperville, IL. He was born July 23, 1936 in Danville, IL. Beloved husband of Anne Hudson and the late Mary Jane Miller; loving father of Karen (Rick) Boston-Wright (Karen's late husband Thomas Boston), Colleen Reid, Melinda (Terry) Hart and Leanne (Jim) Boston, and Anne's daughter, Julie; adored grandfather of David and Megan; Katie (Phil), Sara and Maggie; Tess; Connor, Noelle and Logan; and Aislinn; cherished great-grandfather of Neil; devoted son of the late Howard and Loretta Miller; dear brother of the late Howard (the late Elizabeth) and the late Patricia; dear brother-in-law of Bob & Mazy and loving uncle of Jennifer, Laura (Peter), Mark (Cheri), James (Marsha), Candace (Tim) and their families. Joe's family was his pride and joy. He enjoyed travel, was collector of Sherlock Holmes memorabilia and a lifelong Cub's fan. Joe will be remembered for his kind and quiet manner, his tremendous sense of humor and was known to start his day with telling a joke to bring a smile for the day. Joe proudly served in the military, and he had a long career in business administration including positions at AB Dick Company, Archdiocese of Chicago and CEO of a medical clinic to name a few. Visitation will be Sunday, December 5, 2:00-6:00 PM at the Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 44 S. Mill St., Naperville. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, December 6, 10:00 AM at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 1500 Brookdale Rd., Naperville.
