Margaret O'Malley Obituary

Margaret O'Malley, age 76, a longtime resident of Naperville, IL and formerly of Chicago, Evergreen Park and Franklin Grove, IL, passed away peacefully on December 5, 2017 at Meadowbrook Manor of Naperville. She was born on October 31, 1941 in Evergreen Park, IL. Beloved wife of 54 years to Robert O'Malley; Cherished mother of Bernadette (Michael) Cadman, Ellen Heming, Colette (Michael) Ameche, Robert (Peter Warner) O'Malley, Jr., Michelle O'Malley, Anne (John) Mele, Kate Lippencott, Joseph (Ruthy) O'Malley, Anthony O'Malley, Michael (Jennifer) O'Malley, James (Katherine) O'Malley, and Kevin (Sara) O'Malley; adoring grandmother of Colin, Brendan, Darcy, Liam and Maggie Cadman, the late Caleigh Heming, Bryanne (Chris) VanderPluym, Shane and Jason Heming, Bridget (Will) Gryna, Tom and Joe Ameche, Riley, Grif, Connor, Ian, Aidan, Moira, Liam and Avery Lippencott, Joeyo, Maximus, Samson and Leonidas O'Malley, Mia, Finn, Molly, Muirenn O'Malley, Ryann, Danny, Jimmy, Frances, Bobby and Josephine O'Malley, Quinn and Jack O'Malley; special great-grandmother of Owen VanderPluym and Charlotte Gryna; dear sister, John, Kathleen, the late James, Mary, the late Richard, Frances and Daniel; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Margaret was a 1959 graduate of Mother McAuley High School. She was a faith-filled Catholic and held a special devotion to Our Lady. She was a longtime member of SS. Peter & Paul Church and also served as President of the SS. Peter & Paul School Board. Margaret was truly devoted to her family. She was absolutely the best mom and grandma ever. She was always at her children's many activities, supporting and cheering them on. Margaret was blessed with twelve children, thirty-six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and EVERY ONE was her favorite! For those who would like to leave a lasting tribute to Margaret's life, memorials to St. Coletta School of Wisconsin, Attn: Development Office, N4637 County Rd Y, Jefferson, WI 53549 would be greatly appreciated. Visitation will be Sunday, December 10, 2:00 until 7:00 PM at the Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 44 S. Mill St., Naperville. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, December 11, 11:00 AM at SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 36 N. Ellsworth St., Naperville. Interment will follow at SS.
