Paul R. "Ricky" Metz, age 67, a lifelong resident of Naperville, IL, passed on Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at his home after a long illness. He was born February 5, 1949 in Chicago, IL. Beloved son of the late Edward and Harriet A. (nee Leszczewicz) Metz, loving brother of Kathleen (the late Joseph) Lococo of Milwaukee, WI; Marilyn (the late Frank) Moraira of Riverdale, IL; Russell Metz of Seattle, WA; Francis (Cheryl) Metz of Destin, FL; Alice Metz of Milwaukee, WI; Mary (Stephen) Meiley of Highland Mills, NY and the late Martin Metz, adored uncle of Aaron (Johanna), Sonya and Andre; Alec) (Tosca) and Andrew (Maggie); Ryan; Jessica, Davis and Christian; Bradley, Bryan and Benjamin, dear nephew, uncle, cousin and friend of many. Paul grew up in Naperville, attended SS. Peter & Paul Grade School and was 1967 graduate of Naperville Community High School. A combat veteran, Paul served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and later worked as a carpenter in the construction industry for many years. He loved music and enjoyed playing guitar.
