William Niemeyer Obituary

William P. Niemeyer, age 85, a resident of Naperville, IL for 47 years, passed away peacefully, Thursday, January 20, 2022 at Harbor Chase of Naperville. He was born November 30, 1936 in Washington, D.C. to his loving late parents, William and Mildred Niemeyer, Sr. Cherished husband of the late Betty J. Niemeyer, nee Kutka, wedded on June 27, 1959. Loving father of Anne (Thomas) Evins of Naperville and Cathy (John) Schierbaum of Naperville. Adored grandfather of Eleanor (William Fredrick) Evins of St. Charles, IL and Caroline (fiancé Hunter Hogan) Evins of Reno, NV and Adeline Schierbaum of Naperville. Dearest brother of Sharon (Dennis) Strout, Terri (the late George) Guyer and the late Don and Carl Niemeyer. Uncle of many. Bill was a proud US Air Force Veteran, where he learned his aviation skill, that he then employed as an air traffic controller for the FAA in Aurora. Bill enjoyed traveling the country. He treasured the time he was able to take his grandchildren to Disney World. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. John's Episcopal Church. Visitation: Sunday, January 30th 1:00 to 5:00 PM at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home, 44 S. Mill St., Naperville, IL 60540. Additional Visitation: Monday, January 31st 10:30-11:00 AM at St. John's Episcopal Church, 750 Aurora Ave., Naperville, IL 60540. Funeral service to follow at 11:00 AM at Church.
