Barry and I bonded over shared admiration for Sleepy LaBeef, a great rockabilly singer and musician. I was jogging on a treadmill in Naples, heard him telling someone about Sleepy, and introduced myself.
Enjoyed his bio/rock and roll book, and sense of humor.
My condolences,
Mike

Barry was so supportive and enthusiastic about the rockabilly music I played on my radio show in Detroit 1996-99, he surprised me. I appreciated his kindness and sharing his book with me. Then I had the pleasure of running into him at music festivals across the US. He taught me a few things about life, too, setting a great example for a respectful approach to interacting with people, and to celebrate our interests that make us happy. I admired him and will miss Barry. My condolences to his family and friends.

We first met Barry and Linda, his devoted loving wife when he resided at Villa at Terrracina , Naples . Fla. and he indeed was a lover of music. When we performed "Barry's Song" which was "Orange Colored Sky", he would love to dance to it. He had "moves". Rest in peace .
