Charles I. Hopkins, Jr., died June 19, 2014 in Naples, FL.
He was born in Chicago, IL in 1927. He graduated from the University of Illinois Law School in 1951.
He married his wife of 62 years, Elayne in 1952. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son Randall.
His career included the law department at Illinois Central Rail Road, New York Central Rail Road, Vice President of Labor Relation for American Airline in New York, Flying Tiger World Air Cargo in California, His final position was Chairman of National Railway Labor Conference in Washington, D.C., labor lawyer for all of the Rail Roads in the US. He retired in 1995 and moved to Bonita Springs, Pelican Landing in Bonita Bay.

I was sorry to hear about Chuck's passing. He was a good friend and mentor during our years together at the NRLC. My deepest condolences to Elayne and Randall in this difficult time.
