Edward Benham Naples, FL
Edward 'Eddie' Benham, 79, passed away June 9, 2014 in Naples, FL. He was born in Boston, MA the late William and Anna (Burke) Benham. Eddie graduated from Suffolk University and was an Air Force veteran.
He and his wife resided in Island Walk for eight years, where they enjoyed the company of their dear friends and playing many games of bridge.
Survivors include his loving wife of 42 years, Paula Benham; children, Edward Benham, Jr. of Weymouth, MA and Brenda Benham of Lake Worth, FL; twin sister, Joannie Wainscott of Quincy, MA and sister, Maureen Mattie of Braintree, MA; and many nieces and nephews.
A Mass will be held in Boston, MA at a later date. His urn will be laid to rest at Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett, MA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Eddie's name can be sent to Avow Hospice, 1095 Whippoorwill Lane, Naples, FL 34105 (www.avowcares.org).

Eddie always exuded cheerfulness when he entered a room. His friendly and fun personality always made playing bridge with him a pleasure. Island Walk has lost one of their best. Paula, we ask God's blessing on you.

Ed's outgoing personality and friendliness will be a legacy for all of us to emulate. What a joy it was to see him walk into the room with such a warm greeting each and every time for everyone. His thoughtfulness in supplying rich treats prepared in his own kitchen nearly every week is in small measure of his love of his friends. May God Bless His Soul.
