Erik "Bud" Dobberstein
Bonita Springs, FL
Erik M. Dobberstein, 48, of Bonita Springs, FL, went home to the Lord on January 20, 2009 after courageously battling cancer with dignity, grace and honor to God. Erik was born in Ohio but lived in Florida for the past 29 years.
He is survived by his wife, Joan; parents, Jim and Marilyn; sisters, Jama (Lani) and Denise and their families; and many caring friends.
Perhaps my time seemed all to brief. Don't lengthen it now with undue grief. Lift up your hearts and peace to thee; God wanted me now; He set me free.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 31st at 11:00 a.m. at Community Congregational Church, 15300 North Tamiami Trail Naples, FL 34110.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Joanne's Hospice House, 27200 Imperial Street, Bonita Springs, FL 34135.

I am honored that Erik was brought into my life, he filled his days with joy and laughter, truly following the belief that Joy is Jesus, Others and Yourself. Even if he was going through something difficult he was always concerned about others, placing them before himself. His love for Joan shown in his eyes and smile. Joan you and your family are in my prayers.
As a nurse, I was honored to assist Erik in his fight. As a friend, thank you... Jennifer Barolo, RN
