George Glinos 84, of Naples passed away on August 2nd, 2016 at home surrounded by his family.
Mr. Glinos was born in Andros, Greece in 1932. He came to the United States when he was 22 years old and shortly after became a US citizen. In 1955 he married his wife Esther in New Jersey. They were Married for 44 years they had three children Katina Kapayiannidis (Alex), NiKo (Maribel) and Sofia Glinos.
Mr. Glinos was the former owner of the popular Grecian Gardens Restaurant in Naples. His mission in his later years was to beat Alex in Bubble IQ
His passion was he loved to travel to Greece. He spent six months a year there visiting friends and family from his youth.
Family was his most prize possession. All his family reside in Naples, Fl. Mr.Glinos is predeceased by his loving wife.
He is survived by his three sisters from New Jersey Marika,Stella and Evangelia. His 8 Grandchildren Efstathia Knapp (Tim), George (Angel) & Niko (Danielle) Zertopoulis,
Christopher & Estathia Velez, Jenna, Giorgio and Gianni Glinos. 9 great grandchildren Zeek, Katerina, George, Kiera , Eva, Demetri, Jaydah, Tayten and Alisaundra.
Viewing on Monday August 8th from 6pm-7pm, with Trisagion prayers from 7-8 pm at St. Katherine Greek Orthodox Church, Naples.
His Funeral service will be held on Tuesday August 9thth 11:00 am at St. Katherine Church 7100 Airport Rd. North Naples. The
Entombment will follow Naples Memorial Gardens. In Lieu of flowers contributions in George's memory may be made to St. Katherine Greek Orthodox Church, building fund.
