Judith Marie Marshall Falkinburg, 76, passed away, quietly and peacefully, at her home in Naples on June 11, 2018. A five-year battle with stage 4, metastatic cancer of the lung, valiant, courageous and heroic, was over. Her daughter Amy, her husband Newell, and her two beloved dogs, Amos and Andy, were at her side.

Judith was born September 5, 1941 in Omaha, Nebraska. She attended Benson High School, graduating in 1959. She then matriculated to the University of Nebaska, majoring in English and Speech Therapy. Judy graduated in 1963.

After graduation, she married George H. Thomazin, who subsequently passed away in 2000. In 2003, Judy met Newell R. Falkinburg and they were married in 2005. The couple then moved from Marco Island to Audubon Country Club in North Naples. Judy loved Audubon and loved all of her Audubon friends. She was an active bridge player, golfer, and volunteer at the Lion's Club Eye Clinic in Bonita Springs.

Judith was predeceased by her father, Donald Anson Marshall; her mother, Marie Darlene Marshall; her brother, James Robert Marshall; and her first husband, George Howard Thomazin.

Judy is survived by her husband, Newell R. Falkinburg, Sr.; her son, Christopher H. Thomazin and his wife Gretchen; her daughter, Amy B. Lindsey; step-daughter, Debra L. Falkinburg and her husband Tim Aires, Esq.; and step-son, Newell R. Falkinburg, Jr. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Adam T. Lindsey and Ellie J. Lindsey; step-grandchildren, Olivia Lescallett, Laura Stackhouse, Madeline Stackhouse, Emma V. Falkinburg, Trevor Falkinburg, Ian Falkinburg, and Seth A. Falkinburg. Lastly, Judy is survived by her beloved rescued dogs, Amos and Andy, faithful and loving companions to the end.

Throughout the duration of her illness, she carried herself with courage, dignity, grace, and a never failing sense of humor. Right to the end, Judy was a shining example of how one's life should be led.
