Kyriacos Lambros Marco Island, FL
Kyriacos Lambros died on September 29, 2013, six days after his 82nd birth day. He passed away peacefully at home with his family in attendance. He emigrated from his native island of Cyprus at the age of 18.
He became a contractor, building housing developments and strip malls in Rockland County, NY when this area was experiencing great growth.
Retiring to Marco Island in 2002 where he pursued his passion for gardening, he provided fruits and vegetables to all his friends. He was a Renaissance man; his curiosity was boundless. He loved flying his plane, cooking his Greek specialties for his grandkids and singing in the church choir. He believed deeply in God in honesty, integrity and excellence. His wry sense of humor touched many.
He is survived by his adoring wife, Sophia; two loving sons, Dimitrios (Tammie), Peter; and several grandchildren.
Viewing will be on Tuesday, October 1st (TODAY), 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. with the Trisagion Service at 6:00 p.m. at Hodges-Josberger Funeral Home, Marco Island.
The funeral service will be at St. Katherine's Greek Orthodox Church, AirportPulling Road, Naples, at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 2nd. Burial will follow at Marco Island Cemetery, Marco Island.
