Lorraine Anita (Yaufman) McBride

Lorraine (Lorry) died at home peacefully on July 20, 2021. A life well lived; she was beloved by her family and married to her high school sweetheart, Clyde McBride, for over 70 years. Lorry loved her life as daughter, sister, mother, aunt, grandmother and GG (great-grandmother)! Born in Brooklyn to Warden and Charlotte (Noakes) Yaufman. She is predeceased by her sister Nancy (Yaufman) Jones. Lorry received a BS in Biology at Bucknell University. She was devoted to St.Paul's Episcopal Church in Westfield, St. Simon-by-the-Sea in Mantoloking, and Trinity-by-the-Cove in Naples where she volunteered at the Church Mouse, became a member of the Daughters of the King, and created a beautiful Labyrinth outside the sanctuary. Lorry taught nursery school, co-founded NJ Gymboree play programs with her daughter, Patty, and loved her many wonderful summers at the shore with family and friends.

Lorry is survived by her husband, Clyde and her 4 daughters and their husbands, Lyn and Marc Kelman of Springfield, NJ, Jan and Wil Ward of Naples, FL, Patty and Jim Lunny of Point Pleasant, NJ, and Heather and Jon Leef of Basking Ridge, NJ. Lorry and Clyde are blessed with 11 grandchildren, Alice, Trevor, Timothy, Kristen, Margaret, Devon, Daniel, Samantha, Jaime, Maxwell and Clyde as well as 9 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 31 at 3:00 pm at Trinity by the Cove in Naples, Florida. The service will also be live streamed on the church's website.
