Louis R. Gambino, 67, of Bonita Springs, FL, passed away on Thursday, April 20, 2017. Formerly of Novi, MI, he had been a Bonita Springs resident since 2013. He was born July 4, 1949 in Detroit, MI, the son of James Joseph and Nancy Grace (nee Achille) Gambino.
Mr. Gambino is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Patricia (nee Clauve) Gambino; his beloved daughter, Leah Gambino of Los Angeles, CA; his mother, Nancy Grace Gambino of Clinton Township, MI; his sisters and brother, Margaret Ann (Barry) Gogolewski of Oxford, MI, James August (Michele) Gambino of Naples, FL and Deborah C. (John) Assad of Shelby Township, MI; and many nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Joseph Gambino in 2011.
Visiation for family and friends will be held Sunday, April 23, 2017 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Shikany's Bonita Funeral Home, 28300 Tamiami Trail South, Bonita Springs. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, April 24, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church, 28290 Beaumont Road, Bonita Springs.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Moffitt Cancer Center, https://moffitt.org/give-back/donate/
