Paul Dougherty Obituary

Paul Mitchell Dougherty

Naples, FL

Paul Mitchell Dougherty, age 23, passed away Sunday, September 18, 2016. He was born on February 19, 1993 in Rome, GA, son of Tim Dougherty and Cherisse Davitte. He was named after his grandfathers, John Paul Dougherty and Lt. Col. Mitchell Citton Davitte.

Paul enjoyed skateboarding and hockey and recently aired out his old hockey bag in anticipation of teaching his three year old son, Oliver, to play his favorite sport. He was a loving father, a beloved son and brother. He will always be remembered as a kind, helpful, loving, protective and compassionate friend to all.

Paul was preceded in death by his love, Krista Roden; grandmother, Elizabeth Lynn Davitte; grandfather, John Paul Dougherty.

Along with his parents, Paul is survived by his son, Oliver Theodore Dougherty; brother, Wayne "Trey" Turner III; sister, Lauren Renee Turner; grandmother, Janet Dougherty, of Cleveland, OH; niece, Keelie Turner.

My deepest condolences to the Dougherty family for your loss. My daughter lost one of her closest friends in Paul. They shared many things together since middle school, such as music and skate boarding. Through their mutual friendship, my daughter met her husband Joshua Clark, and married him on faith and trust of that mutual friendship. Paul was always a welcome guest in our home and a pleasure to be around. He was missed when he moved to Georgia and he will be missed by many forever. God Speed, Paul! RIP

Sweet Pauly Wally, I remember you being just a kid, the little brother to all of us during the long summers at your moms. The silly things that made us laugh like the end of Jimmy Nuetron with the monkey saying "Hi Im Paul!". Hanging out with us late at night watching movies or playing music to insane volumes. Helping your mom and sister wrap your christmas presents before you came to visit for break. So many memories Of your goofy laugh and smile. Rest well little "brother".
