Raymond J. Ahern Ludlow, VT Bonita Springs, FL
Raymond J. Ahern died by his family's side at Mission Hospital in Mission Viejo, CA on Friday, October 10, 2014, joining his wife Sharlene and sister Betti in our hearts. Ray was born in Boston, MA on August 4, 1941 to his parents, John and Elsie Ahern of South Boston.
He is survived by his three children, Kelly Bixby of Vermont, Tracy Andrews of Massachusetts and Troy Ahern of Florida; his grandchildren; greatgrandchildren; nieces; nephews; and his immediate siblings, Pat, Jack and Gerry, who provided tremendous support through his final days.
Ray literally 'built' his life into something much greater than what he started with, becoming a self-employed general contractor who constructed and refinished homes all around the country. Ray and his family made their lives in Massachusetts, California, Vermont and Florida. He'll be remembered for his great sense of humor, adventurous spirit, loyalty to his family and nickname skills. There will be a celebration of his life held at The Inn at Bay Pointe in Quincy, MA on Saturday November 8, 2014 from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m.
