Richard Patrick McPartlin, 59, of Ft. Myers, FL passed away at Joanne's House at Hope Hospice in Bonita Spring, FL on Sunday September 4, 2016 after losing his battle with cancer.
Richard was born April 22, 1957 in St. Paul MN. He moved to Naples FL when he was 13. He was a 1975 graduate of Naples High School, lettering in baseball and golf.
Richard started employment in middle school at the Naples Beach Club cleaning golf carts and parking them. He worked on and off at golf courses over the last 30 years. He tried his hand in owning his own business, starting with a game room in Austin, MN, lawn maintenance in Naples, and a snack shop at a golf course in Naples. His passions were music, the Minnesota Twins, Minnesota Vikings, hockey, and golf. He bowled on many leagues, most recently at Beacon Bowl.
He is survived by brothers; Robert of St. Paul MN, Kevin of St. Petersburg FL, Sean of Ft Myers FL, Bud (Kathleen) of Summerville SC, and sister, Kathleen (Michael) Quandt of Stewartville MN, and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Preceded in death by father, Hugh T. McPartlin; mother, Rosemary Dayer; brother, Dennis; sister in law, LaRae McPartlin; niece, Kelly Eileen McPartlin and grandnephew, Liam.
A celebration of life will be held at Beacon Bowl, Naples FL on Saturday, October 22, 2016 from 3:00 - 6:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Hope Hospice at www.hopehospice.org.
