Robert H. Czarnecki, 65, transitioned on June 4, 2013.
Born in Detroit, MI, Bob was an All-State Basketball and Football player in 1966. A resident of Naples, FL since 1980, he spent five years managing the Clock Restaurant and 19 years as a proud Publix man. A man of wide ranging intellect and interests, Bob considered himself a 'lucky photographer' and was an avid outdoor explorer.
He is survived by his son, Robert H. Czarnecki, Jr.; sister, Margaret Melchoir; and his partner in life and love, Karen, who will greatly cherish their many shared adventures.
A private memorial is planned.

Karen,
I just this morning found out about Bob's passing. He was my first real friend I made when I arrived in Naples in 1993. Our friendship began as an outgrowth of our officiating, but it became much more than that as the years went by. Susan and I are devastated by this news. We knew he was struggling health wise but his passing comes as a shock. We are sorry we could not have been in Naples to extend our condolences personally. He will live on in my memory. I certainly valued his friendship and will miss him terribly.

Knew Bob for 30 years, we managed with the Clock together and years later he was a ref doing our games when I was on staff at Lely. My thoughts with his family, he will be missed!
