Dear Centes and all the family
We are so sorry to hear that our dear cousin Ted is gone. The last time I saw him aws at Aunt Mary and Uncle Ted's 50th Annivessary in Detoit. As youngsters in Gary and Chicago we were together several times a year and they once came to Victory Heights, our summer place in nothern wisconsin,Re 1938.

Ted was my BIG cousin as he was about 9 and I was about 5. I idealized this older boy as he was so wise.

I am so sorry that our paths did not cross more in later years. My parents Christ and Mary Athans Loved Uncle Ted Aunt Mary and Ted and Dick so very much. My dad was so proud to "Teddy" and you and the family.
Lets communicate in the future when things settle down.
I have notified my sisters Catherine and Sister Christine and I am sure they will be contacting you.

To the Papes family,

I was saddened to hear of your loss; not only was Ted in our lives as our Dad's boss on many occasions, but we all had the pleasure of growing up in the same community. I remember fondly just a few years ago as we celebrated our folks 50th, I had the chance to sit with Ted and he properly recalled I had played "Mr. Bumble" in a grade school production of Oliver! I'll never forget the sparkle he always had in his eye.

Dear Papes Family,

My sincerest sympathy. As a kid your father/husband taught me things on a baseball field that helped me in life and I will be forever grateful.

Prodigy was my first full-time job back in 1988. I emember Mr. Papes fondly, as he seemed to really care about his employees and the company. I was 21 and naive, so I once reached out directly to him to complain that people working nights had no food in the building. Within 2 days, the cafeteria expanded it's hours and fully stocked vending machines serving sandwiches and etc were installed.

Dear Centes, Kay and I were saddened to learn, via email, of Ted's passing. We shall pray that you find the strength to deal with the situation during the healing period. Kay had fond memories of your Kappa reunions. I, of counse, remember the nickname the FIJIs gave you at Michigan.

Dear Mrs. Papes,
My mother forwarded the news of your husband's passing to me. As a young girl I have many fond memories of walking up the hill to jump on your trampoline, and yours being a house filled with family and love. My father passed on earlier this year, and the loss is indescribable. I am so sorry for your loss and on behalf of my family send you our sincere condolences. Tere Clippard Stevens
