Dear Sandy and your wonderful family:
I was saddened to hear of Warren's passing. I have many fond memories of your family as I babysat for you in East Brady in the 1970's. What a great experience that was for me. I am so happy to hear how your family has expanded and can only imagine the joys you all have when you get together. I believe Warren is watching over each and everyone of you. God bless and peace, Sharon Roxbury

Sandra,
I remember both you & your husband from East Brady High School (class of 1957). You were, I think a year ahead of me, Warren was the coach of the football team that I played on. Though I have not seen or heard of either of you since then, I have fond memories of you both. Coach Hoeffner was liked by us all back then, & from what I read about his life in his obituary, he (and you) must have had a wonderful, enviable life. I am happy, but not surprised, to hear that he did so well, both personally & professionally. But I am saddened to hear that he is gone. You have my sympathy.

Mrs. Hoeffner,
My parents and I would like to extend our most heartfelt sympathy for your loss. When Mum called to tell me about Mr. Hoeffner, the first thing that came to mind was the Holy Thursday service with the joint ministry of the Presbyterian & Methodist churches in East Brady. Diane Wyman, Mark Verner, myself, and a few others were celebrating our first communion at a service downstairs in the Presbyterian church. We were sitting at tables (a "reinactment" of the Last Supper environment) The pipes in the ceiling started making all kinds of noises, and Mr. Hoeffner kept making remarks that had this table of 14 year olds snickering and trying to hold in our laughter. Of course, following the ceremony, our parents started to scold us, until informed that it was Mr. Hoeffner! I remember hearing Dad say, (with a smile on his face), "guess I'll have to yell at Warren too!" It's always been a great memory of my first communion - even now it's putting a smile on my face.
Mr. Hoeffner was a wonderful guy. I know that he helped out the town of East Brady in all that he could do and I'm sure his rewards in heaven will be great.
We'd like to thank you for sharing this wonderful man with all of us, and our prayers and thoughts are with you during this time.
Sincerely,
Bill and Betty Yates

Dearest Sandra, Holly, Todd, Brad, Heather, and Noelle--Words cannot tell you how sad I am and how much I resepcted and loved Warren. Besides my own family, Warren was one of the most influencial men in my life. He took me on my first real vacation and taught me how to ski...and to love the sport. We had so much fun skiing together over the past 3 decades (even once in Europe). I will never forget those late night games of Monopoly and the Cowboys/Steelers football games. Growing up as an only child, I had never been around a family like yours. The first few times I went to your house, I thought you guys were just like "The Brady Bunch." I'll never forget the station wagon, the DeLorean, or all the adventures we had on your boat. I loved going with all of you to pick up Warren at Pounds Field. He worked so hard, and he so loved you--his family. I will miss him dearly, but i am eternally grateful for having been placed in Warren's path. What a blessing he was to so many, and what a legacy he has left in all of you. I hope he and Billy, Sr. have crossed paths in heaven already and have had a chance to pick up their cards for a game of gin rummy. See you Tuesday, Tisa

Hoeffner Family,
I was saddened to read today about the loss of your loved one. You were blessed to have had many years and many memories. When I think back about the times I spent with your family in East Brady, the many times I spent the night and the trips to Seven Springs, I remember Mr and Mrs Hoeffner as very kind and loving. From what was written about him, he was blessed to have had a such and a full and happy life with many who loved him and will miss him deeply. May the love of your family and friends give you comfort. God Bless.

Dear Family,
Both of our families went to Pollard Church together in the late 70's and early 80's until we became members of Green Acres church. After that our families lost contact. Our families enjoyed dinner together and my sisters Cheryl and Shelley as well as I, enjoyed spending the day or nights with yall, and had a blast. But most of all, I remember how kind and loving your parents were to all who knew them. They always made me feel welcome like I was a part of the family as well. I have often wondered about your sweet family, and I was saddened to hear about your loving father. What a great legacy he has left behind!! My thoughts and prayers are with you, and I am so sorry for your loss.

Even though I did not know Warren or your family, I can't help but feel as though I know you all. I live in what is still referred to as "The Hoeffner House"...in East Brady.
We raised our two babies in the same house where you raised yours. I am pleased to say that I am still here, with my two children happy, grown and off on their own now.
Please know with all of the loving stories I have heard about your family, I am praying for you....with what must be a very difficult time you are going through.
God Bless you in the days ahead. Let happy memories always be with you. : )
