William Haines Rose (Billy Bob), 59, passed away too early in life's Journey at home with family on hand on March 6th 2016, in Naples, Florida.

A memorial gathering will be held at Naples Funeral Home on Davis Blvd. from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM, Saturday March 19, 2016. The family will gather at a later date for a final send off at Key West Harbor.

Billy was born in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida on a Sunday June 10th 1956 to a charter boat Capt. Father and a college educated homemaker mother. He left high school in St. Petersburg, Florida to chase a life on the waves. He spent most of his working life doing what he loved, fishing on the high seas from Everglades City to Key West and way points down in the Islands. Billy lived in Naples with his life partner, Pam Knauz, until his untimely passing. Billy had a life long love affair with The Beatles, so John Lennon, George Harrison, and George Martin make some room in heaven, here comes your biggest fan. He was a rough around the edges, sweetheart of a guy who cared deeply about the vulnerable being taken advantage of. He had a great concern for the welfare of animals, children and the elderly, and was contemplating writing a book on the subject.

Billy is survived by his mother, Joan Rose, brothers, Thomas Rose and Edward Rose, sister, Ann Roark, all of Naples, and half-sister, Donna Boone, of Stuart, Florida, as well as nieces, Theresa Rose and Shelby Roark of Naples, and nephew Gregory Roark of Fort Myers. Billy was preceded in death by his father, Capt. Thomas P. Rose, Sr., his nephew, Robert Bryan, and his best friend from Key West, Capt. Dwayne Barger.
