Zachary Timmerman Obituary
Naples - Zachary Taft Timmerman, 31, of Naples, passed away on March 4, 2021. He was born October 26, 1989 in Naples, the son of Michael and Katherine Taft Timmerman, and brother of Katie Timmerman.
Zachary graduated from Barron Collier High School in 2008. He was currently attending FSW in Ft. Myers studying Philosophy and Comparative Theology. He also was a student of the Self-Realization Fellowship which follows the teachings of Paramahansa Yogananda, Spiritual leader and author of "Autobiography of a Yogi".
Throughout his life, Zach was an accomplished musician, voracious reader, enthusiastic debater, and enjoyed backwater fishing. Zach was an innate creative; He wrote and produced music, and played guitar often with friends who inspired him.
Survivors include his parents Mike and Kaye Timmerman (Naples, FL) and sister, Katie Timmerman (New York City); uncles, Robert and John Timmerman (Iowa); aunt, Linda Laine (Iowa), Godmother, Kristen Meli Martinez (Texas) and a large extended family of cousins, aunts and uncles.
Visitation will be Monday, March 15, 2021 from 5:00-7:00 PM at Hodges Funeral Home at Naples Memorial Gardens, 525 111th Ave N, Naples, FL 34108. Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at 10:30 AM at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 625 111th Ave N, Naples, FL 34108.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made in memory of Zach to National Alliance on Mental Illness, (NAMI), Collier County, 6216 Trail Blvd, Building C, Naples, FL 34108 (Please note Zachary's name in the memo) https://www.namicollier.org/donate/

I feel very blessed to have known Zach. He was a caring, funny, thoughtful, intelligent, and spiritual person. He always taught me something new when we spoke. I will miss his presence. I wish his family peace and comfort. He was loved by many.
