Daria (Zitkov) Fermanian

longtime resident of Harvard; 91

HARVARD -- Daria (Zitkov) Fermanian, 91, a longtime resident of Bolton Road, died Tuesday, April 24, 2012, at Apple Valley Center, Ayer.

Her husband, Armen Fermanian, died in 1964.

Ms. Fermanian was born in Windsor, Connecticut, June 1, 1920, a daughter of Roman and Ekaterina (Pluhova) Zitkov and resided over forty years in Harvard.

She leaves her son, Mark Fermanian of Ayer; her daughter, Lynne Fermanian of Pepperell; a sister, Shirley Yeames of Connecticut; two grandsons, Mark A. Fermanian and Jeremy J. Fermanian. She also leaves her dear friend of many years, Joan Richards of Lancaster.

She was the sister of the late Anita Lemire of Harvard.

Mrs. Fermanian had worked as an accountant retiring from Digital Equipment Corporation in Maynard. Prevoiusly, she had worked at Genrad Corporation in Concord and O.S. Walker Company in Worcester.

She attended the Harvard Congregational Church and the West Acton Baptist Church. She was a member of Harvard Golden Agers, enjoyed playing Billiards in the Wednesday night league in Ayer and was a member of the Fitchburg Table Tennis Club.

FERMANIAN -- A graveside service will be held 11 am Tuesday, May 8th at Bellevue Cemetery, Still River Road, Harvard. There are no calling hours.
