Mark Francis Sullivan

Mark Francis Sullivan, 78, passed away peacefully Oct. 29, 2025. He was born June 5, 1947, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to the late Frank and Olga Sullivan.
He is survived by his beloved children, Mark, Mary, Jennifer, and Trang; stepchildren, Carol, Bill, Rob, Terry Wayne, and the late Ray; 11 grandchildren, Mark, Abbigail, Emily, Jacob, Sam, Leigh, Maria, Farrah, Joseph, Darlene, and Justin; and many great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his dear brother David and was preceded in death by his brothers Brad and Michael Sullivan.
A proud United States Army veteran, Mark served two tours in Vietnam, where he was wounded in action. After his military service, he began a long and distinguished career as a federal postal police officer, serving more than 30 years with integrity and dedication.
In retirement, Mark enjoyed time with his church family, tending to his plants, and attending veterans' gatherings. He loved playing Rummy 500 with friends and family, and his humor and competitiveness made every game memorable. A passionate photographer, he captured countless family moments with his 35mm camera and will always be remembered as the family archivist and historian. Family and friends will deeply miss Mark's kindness, strength, and steady presence.
Visitation was held Monday, Nov. 3, 2025 from 5-7 p.m. at Waite Funeral Home in Medina, Ohio, and Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2025 from 9-10 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 at St. Francis Xavier Church. Interment with military honors took place at 12:15 p.m. in Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
