Steven D. Plemons, 84, of Green Cove Springs, Florida, passed away Thursday, Sept. 25, 2025.
Steve was born in Decatur, Alabama, to parents Corinne Allgood and James Plemons. He served his country in the United States Navy from 1959 until 1962. While on active duty, he served as a radio operator aboard P2V aircraft with Patrol Squadron Thirty aboard NAS Jacksonville.

The two later returned to Florida to live closer to children and grandchildren. Their most recent years were spent at their home on Lake Asbury, enjoying the sight of grandkids at play on the water and the assortment of birds that visited their backyard.

He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Mavis Lee Griffin Plemons; son, Steven Todd Plemons (Suzanne); daughters, Sheila Ann Plemons Carter (Melvin), Beth Jane Plemons Wine (Earnie), and Donna Lee Plemons Hesterman (Andrew); sister, Linda McDonald (Doyle); grandchildren, Jeremy Todd Plemons, Shelby Marie Jackson, Emily Corinne Mele, Victor Walter Hesterman, Nathan Carter, and Jennifer Nichols and great-grandchildren, Brinley Plemons, Leighton Plemons, Talia Jackson, Josie Jackson, Lane Carter, and Harlie Nichols and Tatum Carter.
