Joyce Walker Obituary
Joyce was born to Edward and Clara Spencer on October 9, 1933, in Warrington, England. During a blind date she met the love of her life Daniel Jr. and, following a short courtship, was married on September 15, 1956. Six decades of faith-filled marriage followed.
Joyce's many accomplishments included seamstress, artist, library aide, and political operative. Her greatest joys were being Me-Me to her 2 grandsons, Nicholas & Christopher whom she "loved more than life itself" and fulfilling her wifely and motherly duties to her family.
Joyce was preceded in death by her husband Daniel C. Walker Jr., her sister Margaret Chandler, and numerous other family members. She is survived by her two children Daniel C. Walker III and his wife Kimberley and Amanda Brignac Wollard and her husband Randy, and grandchildren Nick and Chris Brignac, 5 nephews and nieces, Jay, Larry and Donald Chandler, William Vickrey Jr. and Sharon Spaulding.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation with the family from 9 am to 10 am on November 3 at Emerald Coast Funeral Home 161 Racetrack Road North West, Fort Walton Beach. The interment will be at Beal Memorial on Friday at 11 am. The family would like to express their gratitude to Angie with Gentiva Hospice, Tiffany and Dana with Visiting Angels, and Lilly at Bayport Assisted Living, for their care of Joyce.
In lieu of flowers, you are invited to make a donation to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Joyce's memory. Expressions of love and sympathy may be placed and viewed at www.emeraldcoastfuneralhome.com
