Mary Virginia Southwell

Mary Virginia Southwell, 73, of New Canaan, CT, passed away at her residence on September 30, 2018  Mary was born on January 31, 1945 in Cleveland, OH to the late Raymond and Agnes Keever Donnelly

Mary was raised in Stockton, California and settled in New Canaan in 1973 She was very active in the community, volunteering at the Thrift Shop of New Canaan and as Volunteer Coordinator for Red Cross of Fairfield County She was a Social Worker who completed a Master's of Social Work at Columbia University and spent many years in managed care helping people with substance abuse and mental health issues

She was married to the late Michael J Southwell (deceased 2012) and is survived by son Scott and daughter-in-law Irina Southwell of Dubai, United Arab Emirates, son Brad of Cary, NC and granddaughters Catelyn and Anna Southwell of Holly Springs, NC

A memorial funeral Mass to celebrate Mary's life will be held on October 13, 2018 at 10 am at St Aloysius Church in New Canaan, CT
