Doris A. Smalser, 88, of Lake Winola, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2022, at Meadowview Healthcare, Montrose.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Smalser in 2019.
Born in Montrose on May 30, 1933, she is the daughter of the late Leroy and Mabel Tyler Aldrich.
She was proud to grow up on the family farm enjoying watching the birds and taking care of the animals.
Doris was a member of the Osterhout Bible Church.
She is survived by nieces: Sandy Zapolski, Kim Travis, Gail Alemy; and nephews: Scott Aldrich and Lee Downey.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by brother, Leroy Stub Aldrich; and sisters: Elizabeth 'Betty' Robertson and Marion Downey.
The family would like to extend deep gratitude to the staff of Meadowview Healthcare for their wonderful care they have extended to Doris during her stay.
A celebration of life service will be held in the spring at her church.
