Audrey Wright Obituary
NEWARK: A funeral service for Audrey E. (Ashcraft) Wright, 100, of Newark will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, May 7, 2012 at Brucker-Kishler Funeral Home with Rev. Roger Nichols officiating. Burial will follow at Smith Chapel Cemetery.
Mrs. Wright, a homemaker, passed away peacefully May 3, 2012, surrounded by her family. She was born on March 6, 1912 in Jackson Township in Muskingum County to the late E. Grant and Clara B. (Ramsey) Ashcraft. A devout Christian, she was a member of Smith Chapel United Methodist Church since 1924. She was a loving, giving person who always put others before herself.
She is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Twila and Richard Williams of St. Louisville and daughter, G. Jean Smitley of Worthington; grandchildren, Paige (Williams) and Mike McMahon of St. Louisville, R. Kim and Victoria Williams of Boise, ID, Karen (Smitley) and Hugh Little of Grove City, Kelly (Wright) and Eric Iler of Newark, Debra (Smitley) and John Fletcher of Powell, Shane Wright of Buckeye Lake, Troy and Pam Wright of Zanesville and Aaron Wright of Newark; 15 great-grandchildren, 16 great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Clyde Wright; son, Earl C. Wright; son-in-law, William Smitley; granddaughter, Michele (Smitley) Williamson; great-grandson, Parker Williamson; brothers and spouses, Otto & Nota Ashcraft, Russell & Mary Ashcraft, Elbert & Gladys Ashcraft, Chester & Margaret Ashcraft and Carl & Mary Ashcraft; sisters and spouses, Agnes & Edwin Smith and Hallie & Bud McArtor; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 12:30-2:00 PM prior to the service at Brucker-Kishler Funeral Home, 985 N. 21st St., Newark, OH.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Smith Chapel United Methodist Church, 4895 Reform Rd. NE, Newark, OH 43055.

I took care of Audrey for a while at the nursing home. She was a very sweeet and careing woman with a smile that would brighten up any room. She will be missed

Kelly and family, I am so very sorry to hear of Aunt Audrey's passing. She was such a sweet and wonderful woman. I remember going to visit her and Uncle Clyde when I was little with my grandma and grandpa. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
