Carl L. Daniels

THORNVILLE: Carl Lester Daniels, 76, of Thornville, passed away from this life into the presence of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, April 2, 2012.

A funeral service, celebrating Carl's life, will be held at the Lighthouse Memorial Church, 2600 Walnut Road, Millersport, on April 5, 2012 at 11:00 am with Pastor Bill Beard officiating.

Interment will be at Lutheran Reformed Cemetery, Thornville.

Carl was a life long resident of Thornville, the son of Ivan Virgel and Areba Fern (Jourdan) Daniels. Carl was an avid Ford man. He loved horse back riding, pulling tractors, auctions and antiquing and loved restoring old tractors. He retired from Bus Service Inc. in 2006. Carl was a skilled truck mechanic for 50 years. He attended Thornville High School, was a past fireman for Thornville Fire Department, past member of the Central Ohio Tractor Pulling Club and a member of Lighthouse Memorial Church.

Carl is survived by his loving family, wife: Jean of 35 years, children: Kelly (Kim Daniels, Susan (Terry) Hill, Richard Daniels and Ginger (Geoff) Hall, stepsons: Michael (Jennifer) Brunn and Jeffrey (Theresa) Brunn, grandchildren: Jason, Niki, Joshua, Alex, Kara, Geoffrey, Gregg, Garth and Autumn, step grandchildren: Scott, Jennifer, Amber, Ashley, Afton, Jessica and Jordan, 11 great grandchildren, brothers: Jerry (Theresa) Daniels and Lewis (Jacque) Daniels, many nieces and nephews, mother-in-law: Wilma Jones, brothers-in-law: Bob and Bill Jones, and Steve (Mary) Mohler.

He is preceded in death by his parents: Ivan and Areba Daniels, father-in-law: Wayne Jones and sister-in-law: Carolyn Brown.

Calling hours will be at the Hoskinson Schoedinger Funeral Home, 56 South Main Street, Thornville, on Wednesday, April 4, 2012 from 7:00 - 9:00 pm and from 10:00 - 11:00 am on Thursday at the Lighthouse Memorial Church. An on-line guest register is available at www.hoskinsonfuneral.com
