PATASKALA: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Dr. Ivan K. Hall, 63, of Pataskala at 10:00 A.M. Monday, January 9, 2017 at The Church of St. Edward the Confessor, 785 Newark Granville Rd., Granville with Monsignor Paul P. Enke as celebrant. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Pataskala.

Ivan, "Keith", passed away Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at home surrounded by his family. He was born in Virgie, Kentucky to the late Bud and Florine (Sargent) Hall, and was raised in Detroit, MI.

A retired Director of Land Weapon Systems and civil servant with 31 years of service, Dr. Hall was employed at D.C.S.C. in Columbus. Ivan graduated from Malone College with a degree in business and furthered his education by earning an MBA from Central Michigan University and his Doctor of Business Administration from the University of Sarasota. During his career, he was inducted twice into the Defense Department Hall of Fame, in 2013 for Land and Maritime and 2011 for Defense Logistics.

A faithful and good man, Ivan was a member of St. Edwards where he served on parish council, started the men's faith group, and was a member of Knights of Columbus, Council #10876 where he was a Fourth Degree Knight. He was an official University of Michigan fan to the end, avid golfer, and fisherman.

Surviving are his wife of 40 years, Ruby A. Hall; daughters and sons-in-law, Dawn and David Moore, Tami and Walter "Buzz" Johnson, and Michelle Greenwood; grandchildren, Ian and Emma Johnson and Madison Greenwood; sister-in-law, Kaaren Hall; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Ivan was preceded in death by his brothers, Sam and Phillip.

The family will receive friends Sunday, January 8, 2017 from 2 to 5 P.M. at the McPeek-Hoekstra Funeral Home, 133 S. Prospect St., Granville where a Vigil Service will be held at 5 P.M..
