Jacob Matthew Counts

NEWARK: Jacob Matthew "Bugs" Counts, 19, of Newark passed away peacefully Friday afternoon, May 5, 2017 at Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus.

He was born April 25, 1998 in Delaware, Ohio to Jason Counts and Franceska (Coe) Counts and attends the Oakstone Academy in Columbus.

Jacob enjoyed cars, raising his chickens, John Deere tractors, and watching The Weather Channel and The Walking Dead. He also enjoyed fishing and camping.

Left to cherish his memory are his mother and step-father, Franceska Counts and Mark Sethman of Newark; father and step-mother, Jason and Tammi Counts of Delaware; half-sisters: Heather, Rachel, Athenea; half-brothers: Michael, Ethan, Ian Brody Counts, and Jonah Counts; maternal grandparents, Hedwig and Stephen Coe of Ostrander; paternal grandparents, Greg and Wanda Counts of Columbus; uncles, Andrew Coe (fiance' Courtney) of Sunbury, Christopher (Vicki) Coe of Lakewood and Scotty (Lisa) Counts of London; aunt, Amanda Counts of Columbus; several cousins, and two lifelong friends Leia O'Leary and Kelsey Patrick both of Delaware.

Jacob was preceded in death by a half-brother Lucas James Counts.

The family will receive friends on Monday, May 8, 2017 from 5 - 8 pm and 9 - 11 am on Tuesday at the Snyder Rodman Funeral Center, 101 Valleyside Drive (formerly 1510 W. William Street), Delaware, where funeral services will be held 11:00 am Tuesday with Pastor Paul McCullough officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.
