Jaime Barber Obituary
MOUNT VERNON: Jaime Linn Barber, age 23, of Mount Vernon, passed away on Wednesday, September 30, 2015. She was born July 24, 1992 in Newark, Ohio to Loren E. Barber and Jodi (Southern) Kinder.
Jaime was loved deeply by her family and will be sadly missed. She loved and cherished her daughter, Gracelynn, with all of her heart. Jaime was a beautiful young lady in so many ways and always had a bright smile on her face. She was very trusting of others and always went out of her way to help people. She was adored by the many friends she was blessed with.
Jaime is survived by her father, Loren E. Barber; mother, Jodi (Southern) Kinder; a daughter, Gracelynn; two brothers, Alex Barber and Ross Barber; a sister, Christin Walters; paternal grandmother, Dolores I. Barber; maternal grandmother, Janice Southern; and aunts and uncles who loved her dearly.
She was preceded in death by two grandfathers, James H. Barber and Hensel Southern.
There will be no calling hours and a private funeral service will be held for family members. A public memorial gathering for friends will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that memorial contributions in Jaime's memory be made to Big Brothers-Big Sisters of Licking County.
The Newark Chapel of Henderson-Van Atta-Stickle Funeral & Cremation Service, 59 North Fifth Street, Newark is assisting the family with arrangements. Please visit www.hendersonvanatta.com to view a memorial and to leave a message of condolence for the family.

I knew jamie from school. When I got pregnant with my daughter she was one of the friends that stood by me and supported me. She will be greatly missed. My deepest sympathy for the family during this time of sadness. Jamie truly left footprints on every heart she came in contact with. Fly high jamie.
