James McMullens Obituary
NEWARK: A memorial service, for James E. McMullens, 83, of Newark, will be held on Saturday, December 8, 2012 at 1:00 PM at Trinity AME Church, 64 E. Church St., Newark, with Pastor Michael Menefield officiating.
James was born in Lincoln County, NC on July 14, 1929. He passed away on December 5, 2012 at Kindred Transitional Care, while surrounded by family.
Prior to retirement, James worked for Tectum Inc. for over 20 years. He was a life member of Trinity AME Church in Newark.
Survivors include his loving wife of 59 years, Ruth Ann (Robertson) McMullens, whom he married on December 26, 1953; sons, Joseph (Rhonda) McMullens and Charles McMullens; brother, Major Joseph McMullens Jr.; sisters, Issie Mae Haynes and Diane Smith; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one sister, Lennie; and one brother, Robert.
Memorial contributions may be made in memory of James to Trinity AME Church.

RIP Mr McMullens. I have never met you or any of your family but Christ has put you all in my heart through your son Joe. Be proud of raising him.
