Robert Parman Obituary
Cottonwood - Robert Elias Parman (Bob), 85, of Cottonwood, AZ, peacefully passed away at home on October 17, 2019. He was born in Manilla, Philippines, on August 14, 1934, to the late Walter and Julia Parman.
A proud American, Bob served his country as a US Marine First Sergeant Tank Commander during the Korean War. He married the love of his life, Mary, in 1956, and raised their six children in Pataskala, Ohio. Always working hard to raise and support his family of eight, he spent 30 years as a volunteer fireman in Pataskala, and ultimately as Fire Chief of Jefferson Township in Gahanna, Ohio.
His faith and family have carried him through life, and he and we firmly believe he will be in Heaven waiting for his family and friends to join him.
Bob is preceded in death by his parents, brother Walter Lee Parman, and grandson Michael Elias Dean.
Bob is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Mary Wilma (Vittitow); sons Charles Douglas Parman; Bruce Clayton Parman and his children: Joshua, Jessica, and Jacob; Robert Elias Parman Jr., his wife, Lori, and their daughters: Ashley, Tiffany, and Rachel; Julia Catherine Dean and her daughter, Katherine; Lynnee Michelle Borgia and her children: Mauritsa, Lucia, and Vittorio; and Lauri Jo Ortega and her husband, Daniel. He has many great grandchildren who will know their great-grandfather through stories of love and much laughter.
A funeral mass will be celebrated at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Cottonwood, AZ, on November 7, 2019, at 11:00 am, and an Honor Guard Service will be held at his resting place, Prescott National Cemetery (Prescott, AZ) on January 10, 2020, 11:00am.

I learned with deepest sorrow about the demise of Bob Parman! I recall with gratitude how he and his wife, Mary, occasionally invited me to their home and sometimes visited me at the church during the dawning days of my ministerial service at St. John Vianney Parish, Sedona. I was always strengthened by his tender smile and fatherly advice.
Although no words can really help to ease the loss the family bears, I want them to understand that they have a full support of my prayers, and be consoled that they will one day see Bob in life-eternal, where we shall all meet to part no more.
May he Rest In Peace! Amen.

We were saddened to learn of this loss today. Our sincere condolences go out to Bob's family especially to Mary. Our thoughts and prayers go out that the family will be at peace knowing that Bob fulfilled his many challenges with dignity. We will miss his spirit and the good times we shared during the short time we spent with him & Mary. May he Rest in Peace

Knew Bob when I was with the old Pataskala VFD back in early '70s. He was always smiling and willing to help in any way he could. RIP Bob !. Mike Parr
