Robert Pollack Obituary
JACKSONVILLE, FL: A celebration of life for Robert (Bob) M. Pollack, 57, will be held at the REED-EGAN FUNERAL HOME, 141 Green Wave Drive, Newark, from 2-5 P.M., Sunday, October 18, 2015. A private burial will be held in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery at a later date.
Bob passed away in the early morning of October 2, 2015 in Jacksonville, Florida after a long battle with lung cancer. He was born in Paris, France on May 26, 1958 to the late Dr. John and Joan (Nullet) Pollack.
He was a 1976 graduate of Newark Catholic High School where he was an outstanding basketball player. Bob won several awards and recognitions for playing the sport that he loved. He also enjoyed watching college and professional sports, especially football and basketball. He worked for E.C. Supply in Hilliard, OH for 14 years.
He is survived by his loving daughter, Alecia (Nick Kohl) Pollack; his sister Nancy (Steve) Carroll; his brothers, Paul (Sharon) Pollack and Richard Pollack; his nieces and nephews PJ, Brooke, John, and Danielle; and his very special friends Jeff and Kathy Whitson.
Memorial contributions can be made to Community Hospice Foundation of Northeast Florida or Newark Catholic Athletic Association.
