Delores Laughinghouse Morris

VANCEBORO - Mrs. Delores "Dee" Laughinghouse Morris, 64, went to be with the Lord on February 15, 2018, surrounded by her family.
The funeral service will be conducted Monday at 1:30 p.m. in the Wilkerson Funeral Chapel in Vanceboro. Burial will follow in Celestial Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Morris was employed with McCarthy Court for many years. She retired due to health reasons in 2017. Delores loved to read and cook. She was also an avid cat lover.
Mrs. Morris was preceded in death by her parents, J.D. and Lois Laughinghouse and identical twin sister, Diane Dingman.
She is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, Jerry Morris; daughters, Heather Slade and husband, Eric, of New Bern, Michelle Jones and husband, Jan, of Chinquapin; sisters, Angalene Hord and husband, Richard, of Ellijay, Georgia, Johni Dee Merritt of Thonotosassa, Florida, and Linda Penly and husband, Carl, of Thonotosassa, Florida; along with 8 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Sunday from 6-8 PM at Wilkerson Funeral Home in Vanceboro.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to White Hill FWB Church, 9204 Old Sandhill Road, Aurora, North Carolina, 27806.
