Linwood Simmons Obituary
As a member of West Street Christian Church, he sang in Male Chorus and the Mass Choir. He was formerly employed by the Public Works Department of the City of New Bern.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at West Street Christian Church, with the Rev. R.E. Midgette Sr. officiating.
He is survived by his father, John Simmons, and mother, Elsie H. Simmons, of New Bern; four brothers, Ronnie Simmons, Dennis Simmons, Morris Simmons and Gregory Simmons, all of New Bern; three sisters, Patricia Edwards and Lorraine Godette, both of Atlanta, Ga., and Beverly Henderson of New Bern.
The family will receive friends at the residence of his father at 2409 Chestnut Ave.
