PROSPERITY — James Buford "J.B." Fulmer, 86, died Monday, January 21, 2019 at the Newberry County Memorial Hospital.
Born on July 23, 1932 in Chapin, he was a son of the late Virgil and Gertrude Frick Fulmer. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict and worked at Central Chevrolet and Newsome Chevrolet. Mr. Fulmer was a member of Mt. Tabor Lutheran Church.
He is survived by his wife, Jeannette Metts Fulmer; a son, Johnny (Donna Jean) Fulmer of Little Mountain; daughters, Donna (David) Holley of Chapin and Janna (Stanley) Livingston of Prosperity; sisters, Betty Boland of Little Mountain and Ola Mae Fulmer of Prosperity; brothers, Jacob Fulmer of Prosperity and Richard Fulmer of Chapin; grandchildren, Neil (Kristy) Fulmer, Travis (April) Holley, Kim (Lee) Stoudemire, Laura (Andrew) Frick, Scott (Ryan) Livingston, Megan (Josh) Roland; great-grandchildren, Nathan Fulmer, Payton and Furman Livingston, Hunter Wayne Holley, Landon Stoudemire, Caleb Levi Roland and Caden Carroll Frick. He was predeceased by a sister, Nancy Shealy.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 25, 2019 at Mt. Tabor Lutheran Church by the Rev. Randall Derrick. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the fellowship hall at Mt. Tabor Lutheran Church. Memorials may be made to Mt. Tabor Lutheran Church, 816 Mt. Tabor Church, Little Mountain, SC 29075.
Active pallbearers will be Doug Fulmer, Mickey Fulmer, Phil Boland, Chris Rauch, Justin Cagle, Ronald Metts, Marvin Miller and O.W. Watts III.
Honorary pallbearers will be former associates of Central Chevrolet and his music friends.
