Edwin Joseph Wayne Jandreau passed away on February 10, 2023, in Terryville, CT at the age of 87. Wayne was born in St. Francis, Maine to the late Delsie and Alvine (Morin) Jandreau, and was predeceased by his five siblings, Claude, Felix Phil, Louise, Joseph Grover and Cora. Wayne is survived by his wife of 62 years, Jeannine Jandreau of Terryville, CT as well as his loving daughters and daughter-in-law; Janet Jandreau of Vernon, CT, Jane Jandreau and her wife Julie

Gerry of Windham, CT, and Jennifer Tabak of Vernon, CT. He is also survived by

his three beloved grandchildren, Matthew, Nicole and Molly Tabak.

After Wayne's service in the U.S. Marine Corps, he and Jeannine married and settled in Terryville, CT to raise their family. Wayne (Ed to many of this friends and coworkers) worked for many years as a toolmaker at Edmunds Gages in Farmington, CT, and retired in 2004. During his retirement, Wayne spent much of his free time doing what he loved most; being with his grandchildren.He never missed a soccer game, concert or ceremony, and was always their number one fan

no matter the endeavor. They brought great joy to his life.

Wayne also enjoyed his time serving as an election volunteer in Terryville during

his retirement. He was dedicated to this service and was pleased to have a way to

demonstrate his sense of civic duty. In recent years, Wayne also made many trips to Disneyworld with his family, where his youthful curiosity and sense of adventure came alive. His family will always remember the delight he took in understanding how even the simplest things worked, and how he passed down his

sense of joy and wonder at the world.

The family will receive friends and relatives at the Scott Funeral Home, 169 Main St, Terryville, CT on Thursday, February 16 from 6 to 8 p.m., with a service at 8 p.m. A military burial will be held in the spring at Hillside Cemetery, Terryville.
