Frances A. Urso

1937 - 2022

Frances A. Urso, 85, of New Britain, passed away peacefully on Dec. 6, 2022. She was beloved wife of the late Nicholas J. Urso. Frances was born in Collinsville on Nov. 5, 1937, daughter of the late John and Edith (Marhefki) Dembishack. Frances grew up in Collinsville and graduated from Farmington High School. She went on to a successful 30-year career as a Systems Analyst for Connecticut Mutual. After she retired, she worked for the City of New Britain in the Registrar of Voters office for 20 years. Frances was a longtime member of St. Joseph Church in New Britain and belonged to the New Britain Council of Catholic Women. She loved to travel in her later years and will be remembered as very caring and family oriented.
Frances is survived by her sister Shirley Krawczyk; brother Richard Dembishack and his wife Christine; and many nieces and nephews. Along with her husband, Nicholas, she is predeceased by her brothers John and Walter Dembishack; and sisters Irene Hull, and Mary Szydlowski.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Frances' family on Tuesday, Dec. 13th from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the Duksa Family funeral Homes at Burritt Hill, 332 Burritt St., New Britain. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Church, New Britain. Burial will follow is St. Mary Cemetery, New Britain.
