Lorraine Lounder Obituary
Lorraine Lounder of Bristol, passed away on December 21, 2023. Lorraine was born on June 22, 1938 in Bristol, the daughter of the late George and Dorothy (LeBeau) Mihalyak. She was the widow of Earl Lounder, who passed away in 2009. She was a graduate of Bristol High School and worked for New Departure Hyatt and New Britain General Hospital before moving to Springfield, VT in 1992 with her husband. She retired in 2000 from Health Care and Rehabilitation Services in VT. After her retirement, along with her husband, she volunteered at Springfield Hospital & Adult Day Care Services, then after the death of her husband, she moved back to Bristol in 2011. Lorraine leaves two daughters, Susan Boosahda of Worcester, MA and Patti Kaszuba; two sisters, Carol Nadolny and Jean Thompson, a brother David Mihalyak; three grandchildren, Scott Boosahda, Jr and his wife Colleen, Kagan and Caela Kaszuba and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son Steven in 2003 and her husband Earl in 2009. In honor of Lorraine's wishes, there are no funeral services scheduled. The family would like to thank Bristol Home Care & Hospice and the team at Bristol Hospital, G-extension, for treating mom with dignity, respect and compassion. In lieu of flowers, donations in honor of Lorraine's memory may be made to: Hospice of Bristol, PO Box 977, Bristol, CT 06011.
