Rosa Julia Cruz Santana

NEW BRITAIN

Rosa Julia Cruz Santana, 71, of New Britain and Puerto Rico, passed away on April 25, 2025 in Puerto Rico. She was the beloved wife of Antonio Cruz with whom

she was married for 53 years.

Born in San German, Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of the late Felipe Santana and Maria Rodriguez. Rosa was a New Britain resident for 50 years and was formerly employed at the YMCA.

Surviving are her husband, Antonio Cruz; a son, Antonio Cruz Jr. and his wife Maria Cruz; two daughters, Jessica Cruz and Elizabeth Cruz; her daughter-in-law, Cookie Cruz; two grandchildren, Natalia Cruz and Jasmaray Cruz; and her great-grandchildren, Evaney Cruz, Sophia Diaz, Jaydaliz Nazario, and Elijah Colon-Cruz. Rose was predeceased by her son, Jose Antonio Cruz.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday from 10 to 11 a.m. at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 So. Main St., New Britain. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Calling hours are Monday from 5-7 p.m.. Please share a memory of Rosa with the
