William Domijan Obituary

William F. Domijan, 75, of New Britain, passed away Saturday, March 6, 2021 at The Hospital of Central Conn. in New Britain. William was born on July 24, 1945 in New Britain and was the son of the late Frank and Dorothy (Ellsworth) Domijan and was a lifelong resident there. He was drafted into the US Army in June of 1968 and served until 1970, being honorably discharged. Bill retired from Stanley Works after forty years of service as union machine operator. He loved to fish and many weekends you could find him with a fishing rod in his hand either on the lake or at the ocean. Bill also loved his NY Yankees, and never missed a game; whether it was listening on the radio or watching on TV. He also loved to attend live games. Bill was a current and active member at the Northwestern Veterans Club in New Britain, where he would spend most of his Fridays and many holiday events talking and laughing with his many friends there. He loved to spend time with his family, especially his two "boys" and his grandchildren that will greatly miss him, Taylor and Jay. Bill will be remembered as loyal friend and a loving father, grandfather and husband. He was always there for loved ones in times of need. Rest in peace and Let's Go Yankees!
Bill is survived by his beloved wife of forty-four years; Caroline (DelSorbo), his son William Domijan and a son and daughter in law Frederick and Leah Domijan. He is also survived by his two brothers; Frank and Walter Domijan. He also left behind many nieces, nephews, and cousins, who loved and respected him. Bill was predeceased by his brother Gary Domijan.
Funeral rites for William will be held Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at 6 p.m. from the Paul A. Shaker Funeral Home, 764 Farmington Ave., New Britain. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, 662 Burritt St., New Britain, on Friday, March 12, 2021. Relatives and friends may call at the Paul A. I was blessed to have Billy as one of my TGM "uncles", many Friday nights spent listening to "real" music and getting true life advice and always encouraging words to see me through hard times. I am so grateful I had the honor of knowing and loving Billy. Caroline my strong beautiful friend Billy always told me how lucky he got with you. My heart goes out to you and my thoughts and prayers are with you and the boys.

Caroline and family. So very sorry your loss. After just going through this myself I know how hard it can be. You are a very strong woman Caroline. I will say a prayer for Bill and your family.
