Edward Fontenot Obituary
Edward Paul Fontenot went home to be with his Lord and Savior on December 13, 2023. He was 73 years old, a resident of Newport and a former resident of French Settlement, La.
Paul was a graduate of French Settlement High School. He attended Southeastern Louisiana State University and worked in his field as a pipe fitter for over 30 years.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years Elizabeth Fontenot and loving stepson Eric Landry. Also by his sister, Dinah Jones, and two nieces, Kristen Cannon and Brittany Jones. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Joshua (Kristen) Landry, Justin (Kaitlyn) Landry, Hannah (Thaddaeus) Smith, and Leona Landry. As well as his great grandchildren Ryder Landry, Magnolia Landry, and Jayce Landry.
He was preceded in death by his father, Isadore Fontenot, his mother, Frances Schexnayder, and his nephew Kevin Jones.
A Celebration of Life will be held at The Crossing Church, 2941 Douglas Dam Rd., Kodak TN 37764 on Saturday, January 6 at 3 p.m. Refreshments and fellowship to follow after the service. In lieu of flowers please send cards or donations to: Elizabeth Fontenot, 803 Chicken Hollow Rd, Newport TN 37821
